This phone replaced the 500 as the standard desk phone. It's built a lot tougher than the phones of today. These machines were meant to last many years.

The phones I have from Cortelco are the good old fashioned made in the USA phones, not cheap imports. Cortelco was a major competitor for Western Electric and were based in Corinth, Mississippi. These phones have available volume control handsets making them hearing aide compatible.
