Okay, this is a Western Electric repairman's butt set and
not a "real" phone, but I think this would make the coolest workshop or Bachelor
pad phone. You can hang this on the pegboard in your workshop, or over the counter in your
kitchen, or just leave it kick around. The toggle switch on the side is for "picking
it up" and "hanging it up". There's no ringer, so you'll need to have one
in another phone (or use an external ringer) to know when a call
is coming in.
This phone has what is known as a "Pin Dial". The dial is very
tiny on it and can be dialed by catching the pins with your fingernail or by sticking the
point of a pen in the hole. I do have one with a standard dial, if you would prefer that
one, let me know. I've wired a modular plug to it so you only have to plug it in to use
it.
