The North Electric 540 is similar to the 500 model that all the other manufacturers had adopted, but with some differences. When all the other brands were using the same blueprints. North Electric made the 541 with their own unique look. This is a very hard to find phone.

The most unique feature (and what makes it so sought after) is the recessed dial. The finger wheel is flush with the face of the dial, not standing up above it.
