Automatic Electric Model 35A5
Automatic Electric is a telephone maker that was based in Chicago, IL. This model was introduced in the early 1930's. This phone was the wall mount equivalent to the model 34A3. The phone looks very much on the outside like the later model 40. The two major differences are the lack of vents on the side and the style of handset used. The phone is made of Bakelite and shined up beautifully. The ringer is the correct ringer for this phone and works on today's phone system. The cords are new reproduction black cloth cords. I have the phone all wired and ready to go, just hang it on the wall and plug it in.
